The proposed Shellfish Rules and Regulations include a onetime
increase in daily catch limits for 2009, increased permit fees,
volunteer time for commercial diggers, a seasonal commercial
permit for high school students, elimination of out of state
permits, and other necessary updates. There are no changes to
Section 13-Shellfish Grant Regulations. Public and private
aquaculture will be the next topic for the Shellfish
Sub-Committee to the Selectmen.
As voted by the
Board of Selectmen, the Roaring Bull winter clam flat will be
opened everyday starting January 22, 2009 until May 1st, 2009.
