Traffic Division PURPOSE: Through the hard work of the dedicated members of the Ipswich Police Department, the purpose of the Traffic Division is to reduce motor vehicle accidents, reduce speeding vehicles and address all motor vehicle violations by means of enforcement action and by the use of educational literature and educational programs. The intent of this strategy plan is to ensure that our citizens and visitors are safe on our roadways. The Traffic Division is comprised of several specialized units.
