On Thursday evening about 4:33 p.m. a young female students was walking along East Street and Newmarch Street when a suspicious male asked for directions. The girl provided direction; however, the individual then asked her to get into his motor vehicle and show him how to get there. The girl said no, and observed inside the vehicle that the individual was not wearing any pants or underwear.
These incidents appear to be similar and the suspect has sought victims between the ages of 13 and 31. The incidents have occurred on Liberty and Brown Street, as well as Pineswamp and Linebrook Road and most recently occurring last evening on East Street. The suspect is described as a white make in his 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, large build around 230-250 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, unshaven and a scruffy appearance.
The vehicle has been described as a blue, royal blue or purple four-door sedan that appears beaten up and dirty in appearance with a lot of junk in it.
The Ipswich Police Department would like all citizens to be aware of these incidents and to review the composite sketch for identification. Citizens are reminded to be careful and observant and never approach any vehicle occupied by a stranger.
