CLICK-IT OR TICKET PATROLS

Unit Supervisor: Sergeant Justin Daly
Unit Specialist: Officer Jason Sinclair

Click-it or Ticket is a grant program sponsored by the Governor’s Highway Safety Bureau (GHSB). This program rewards proactive local and state police agencies with grant money to enable police departments to deploy specialized patrols to aggressively enforce motor vehicle laws in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Ipswich Police Department was awarded a $7,000 grant from the GHSB. This grant reflects on the proactive activity of the dedicated members of the Ipswich Police Department. This $7,000 grant will enable the police department to put on additional patrol cars solely dedicated to vehicle enforcement. The grant lays out specific guidelines that we must meet in order to maintain our grant. The Ipswich Police have met, and exceeded those expectations. The grant also allows for vehicle maintenance due to the added patrols. This grant program has proven to be successful in years past, and is in full gear for the 2007 campaign.

The GHSB has outlines specific dates when patrols are to be deployed and the specific issue to be addressed. While there is a specific issue to be targeted, all vehicle infractions are enforced by click-it or ticket patrols.
